Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for implementing, and maintaining the Microsoft Windows NT / WIN2K / XP Servers and network. This position is also responsible for coordinating the network and systems support team for various systems projects related to servers, network, workstations and end user support.
Desired Candidate ProfileESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform MS Windows NT/ WIN2K /XP desktop setup
Perform MS Windows NT/ WIN2K /XP network management and administration.
Perform system administration duties such as creating new accounts, making changes, and maintaining lists, and performing backups, etc.
Implement, and support changes to the network including server hardware components and software, network hardware and software
Troubleshoot network hardware and operating software
Administer software licenses
Assist in coordinating projects for new servers and network equipment setup.
Provide Helpdesk (Level II and Level III) technical support
Help analyze and recommend the purchase of computer/network equipment.
Administrate the phone system and coordinate activities of service providers.
Coordinate with the UNIX and NT Administrators on issues fecting both environments
Monitor network and servers capacities
Provide support for the Backup / Restore activities for the site
SKILLS Microsoft Windows NT/ WIN2K administration experience
Proficient in Hardware and software configuration
Proficient in troubleshooting problems (Hardware/Software)
Experienced with basic network equipment (routers, Hubs)
Experienced in task management

Very organized (meticulous with regard to documentation)
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE B.S. degree computer science or related degree
3-5 years concentrated experience in a hardware/software technician role
3-5 years of network server administration experience with a concentration on Microsoft Windows NT (Microsoft Certification - MCSE preferred).
