Software Engineer-- QA Job Description More than 4years of QA testing
Core QA skills (test case development, test execution, defect identification (technical), defect reporting)
Ability to identify, isolate and document software defects, either independently or with QA/Development peers
Proven track record of developing test plans from engineering specifications and product marketing documents
Hands-on experience in analyzing and diagnosing issues found in the field.
Be able to provide status and escalate issues to Team Lead as needed
Experience in working with automated test cases and frameworks.
Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must utilize these skills to communicate effectively across all groups in the organization.
Should have QA career desire (wants to break things, decided on QA/NOT Dev, curiosity)
Should have an UNIX (any flavor) background / knowledge (this includes Linux, Fedora, FreeBSD, HP-UX etc)
Should be knowledgeable in networking fundamentals (internet protocols)
Experience in automating test cases and designing/maintaining frameworks using scripting languages like Perl, Python, Shell programming etc
Exposure to Security domain
Has worked on related products like Email, Firewalls, Anti-spam, Anti-virus, Anti-spyware etc.
