Technical Expertise
â Extensive experience in ORACLE administration. Candidate must be highly proficient in Oracle 9i/11i.
â Experience working with ORACLE Stored procedures is a must.
â Expert in sizing, capacity planning, backup and recovery planning with multi-terabyte data warehouse solutions in Oracle environments.
â Experience working with high volume databases with partitioned data, performance and tuning experience is required.
â Performance tuning /Oracle development skills - Performance Monitor and Explain Plan assessment, stored procedures, triggers, functions and transactions analysis, thorough understanding of indices and statistics (Query Optimizer) in both 2000 and 2005 for multi-terabyte databases.
â Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts, including and not limited to: star schemas, snowflakes, ETL processes, dimensional modeling and reporting tools (e.g. Brio, Business Objects, etc.)
Experience and Education â 5+ years of Oracle DBA
â Experience working with and within cross functional Development, QA, Test and Production Teams.
â Excellent analytical skills, the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment
â Pursue a proactive approach to problem solving.
â Oracle certification a plus.
â Working knowledge of UNIX (Sun Solaris preferably), Linux, Windows and shell scripting
