Position: Data Modeler / Data Architect - Data Model Group
Location : Bangalore
Job Description:Oracle India Pvt. Ltd. is actively seeking experienced engineers to join the Engineering organization in the Data Model Group (DMG). DMG is responsible for the design, development, and testing of Siebel-Oracle Data Model, Interface, Replication and Upgrade technologies. The successful candidate will assist in the development of this data model and various other related deliverables to support the functional extensions that will take us into our next phase of growth.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Developing and supporting DMG utilities, applications using state of the art component architecture
· Supporting DMG processes
· Help to ensure product quality
· Work with Sr. Engineers to model business requirements for desired extensions to Siebel products functionality
· Develop a thorough understanding of Siebel-Oracle eBusiness' sophisticated and extensive data model
· Develop a thorough understanding of Siebel-Oracle eBusiness' technical architecture
· Work closely with DMG members to identify potential problems, develop and implement solutions, and drive issues to closure in a timely manner.
Desired Profile Requirements:
· Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent
· 2 - 7 years of experience in Software Development or Consulting (experience in database work and/or data modeling)
. Erwin Tool (Conceptual, Logical & Physical Data model)
· Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Java
· Understanding of development methodologies
· Solid understanding of Database relational concepts
· Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Desiring a Team based working environment
Preferred:
§ Some understanding of relational database performance optimization techniques
§ Experience writing complex SQL
§ Exposure to DB2, MS-SQL & Oracle databases.
Oracle certification is a plus
