Procurement Specialist - Analyst (Tech)

The Strategic Procurement Services is focused towards implementing a structured and consistent procurement process in all major spend categories and strives to understand & manage the impact of procurement process decisions on client service relationships.?
?
Responsibilities:
?
This position is responsible for providing analytical and project support to the Strategic Procurement Services (SPS) Technology Group.? This group manages the procurement process and strategy for IT hardware, software, mobile devices, and telecom hardware and services.
?
Responsibilities include:
?
? Respond with quick turnaround to internal clients' ad hoc requests for information and reporting.?
? Provide reporting, tracking, and analysis specific to the various Technology Group members.
? Contact suppliers perform necessary research for information to handle day-to-day operational tasks such as responding to IT field inquiries and requests for information.
? Support the Technology Group with special reporting and analysis, in order to contribute to firm leadership briefing documents, sourcing efforts and supplier relationship management.

Desired Profile    

Qualifications:
?
Education requirements:? Bachelors degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field.
?
Necessary Prior Experience : ? Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a procurement role.
?
Required Specific Skills:?
?
? Strong research and analytical skills -mastery of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
? Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce results with minimum direction.
? A "customer service" orientation and ability work under tight time constraints.?
? Experience as a contributing member of a cross-functional team, with ability to build consensus among people.?
? Highly organized with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
? Competence with Access or other database program
? Experience with the strategic procurement process in a large decentralized environment is preferred.?

Required Technical Skills:?
?
? Knowledge of SAP reporting capabilities preferred.
?
Any Other Pertinent Requirements:
?
? Experience with technology and technology terms.
? Problem-solving aptitude
? Detail oriented
? Multi-task and prioritization skills
