Network/Telecom Systems Analyst Job Description GIT TACOPS Crisis Response Center is responsible for maintaining IT (network, security) infrastructure round the clock for Oracle Internal and external customer. This is highly skilled professional team who manages the availability/restoration part of the IT services to the organization.
Desired Profile This position is for 24x7 L2 remote network & security Support from Bangalore for Oracle Sales, Corporate and Data center. Based on Analyst skills he can give L3 suggestions but they can’t change any core configuration. Analyst will coordinate with Oracle WAN Service providers, Security Operation and Network planning team to resolve the issues. This team is doing Firewall and Load balancer provisioning (i.e Addition, deletion of ports, policies and address) for Oracle Ondemand Customers.This team is using HP Open view, Netcool, Cisco Works and MRTG tools to monitor and analyze the network. Oracle is using Cisco router and switches, Netscreen firewall, McAfee IDS, BigIP F5 product for load balancing. He will be first point of contact for any WAN, LAN and security Incident.
Candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills on Network and Security. Ability to articulate problem and translate into the analysis, work on RCA.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engg Computer Science or equivalent experience or combination of related education and experience.
- Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA/CCNP) certification or equivalent experience required.
-Juniper Netscreen Certified (JNCIA)
-MCSE Certified.
Experience :
· 4 – 5 years large-scale Data Center and NOC experience with a proven track record of responding to Network and Security incidents
· 3 – 5 years experience directly supporting local area networks and wide area networks running on Cisco hardware. In-depth VPN and ISP experience.
- 2 - 3 years of exp on managing firewall, IDS and security devices on large organization.
Knowledge/Skills:
- WAN, ISP, VPN, and LAN "hands-on" networking experience in a global production environment.
- -Ability to configure and troubleshoot layer 2 and Layer 3 network devices (Switches and Router), Firewall & BigIP
- Ability to work on IDS and understanding of scan tools, attacks and virtus.
- Ability to work on HP Openview, Netcool, cisco works and Site Scope.
- Ability to analyze the network traffic, experience on Network analyzing Products and tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL or other Incident Management processes preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Experience with complex ticketing and incident/request tracking systems.
- Strong analytical problem solving skills.
- Should be flexible to work in 24x7 mode.
- Strong technical knowledge of client/server and Internet concepts and techniques.
- Highly motivated - self-starter.
- Strong oral and written technical and interpersonal communication skills including sensitivity to user community and the importance of maintaining a positive vendor relationship.
