* Engage with the the various teams to build the portal as the most desired destination for people seeking local information
* Coordinate with the relevant stakeholders for upkeep of content, regular updates and maintenance of the portal
* Ensure that the portal is always updated and populated with relevant information
* Create a process for helping other web developers in the business to maintain and manage their web pages
* High degree of entrepreneurial skills. Ability to coordinate, interact and build relationships with multiple stakeholders
* Build loyalty with innovative solutions, applications and features that engage visitors and users to the portal
* Make the GBS portal a 'pull' model for all relevant information
* A very good writer and editor

* At least 4+ years of experience in managing big portals from both content management and traffic generation perspective
* A very good writer and editor
* Conceptualize and implement newsletter and other best CRM practices to remain in touch with various stakeholders
* Journalism degree preferred
* Proven ability to optimize websites, images and videos
* Extensive understanding of the industry intranet standards, best practices, search engine algorithms and ranking strategies. And the ability to communicate these items to ones colleagues and executive management teams
* Some familiarity with programming languages including HTML, DHTML, AJAX, JavaScript, and web technologies including online video, Flash would be an advantage
* Sound understanding of user experience for the web
* Time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines under pressure
