Job Description & Essential Requirements
•Day to day administration/support to NAS & Backup infrastructure
•Exposure on NetApp 940/3040/3050/2020/2050, IBM enterprise Libraries, Veritas Netbackup etc
•Upgrade and apply patches on the server & storage assets
•Support Data Center Technologies infrastructure.
•Support Tape Libraries – Backup and Veritas Netbackup infrastructure (desirable but not mandatory)
•Configuration management, capacity, and performance management.
•Capacity monitoring and forecasting space usage
•Document/test procedures for BCP/DR configuration & drill
•Liaise with Change Management Team and adhere to CR guidelines.
•Vendor management for hardware/software deployment, equipment failures, etc.
•Create/maintain/update documentation for server/storage infrastructure
•Work closely within team, with other towers and regional teams.
•Exposure to Change Management, Incidence Management & Documentation is desirable
•Be able to work independently with minimum supervision
•Be able to work well with others in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment
•Be an effective team member , and possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
•Good verbal & written communication skills
•SAN skills can be a definite plus but not mandatory
