Windows System Administrator
? Job Title: System Admin
? Reports to: President
? Based: Chandigarh
? Job Objectives: To be fully responsible for the Smooth running and Maintenance of all Windows servers. To provide backend support to development teams and to ensure that all sites and servers are working at all times. To provide for active support for deployment of Web applications on IIS servers hosted in house/ US Data center.
? Responsibilities:
• Provide best practice support services for the systems under Enterprise Support Services (ESS) management responsibility.
• Maintain, tune and patch systems for optimum performance and security.
• Ensure changes are planned and implemented in a sound low risk manner, without creating system outages.
• Provide implementation support for Enterprise Support Services (ESS) to approved projects, when appointed to a project.
• To prepare and maintain key team support documents.
• Provide on-call support and participate in 24 x 7 roster rotation groups.
• Assist Service Management and Application teams in solving intermittent recurring problems.
• Provide solutions architecture advise (where qualified / experienced to do so).
• Provide Technical Project Management (where experience and asked to do so).
• Provide support for costing solutions (hardware, software, and implementation labour), where experienced and / or being coached in doing so.
• Escalate problems and concerns to your Team Leader and / or senior management

? Education and Qualifications
? Essential:
? B.Tech/BE/ B.Sc in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
? MCSA / MCSE certified preferred
? Experience
? Essential:
• 5+ years knowledge of WINDOWS system administration (W2K/W2K3)
• Experience of Remote Monitoring Tools like Microsoft Operations Manager, Remote Desktop, DameWare, VNC.
• 2+ years experience operating Windows 2000/2003 Exchange Infrastructure
• 1+ years experience Internet Information Server, Web, FTP, SMTP
• 2+ years experience of systems deployment, backup and recovery
• 2+ years work experience on MS Clustering
In depth understanding of WINS, DNS and DHCP
• In depth understanding of all aspects of networking.
• Detail management of critical support environments.
• Excellent communication and client relations skills
? Skills
? Essential:
1. System administration skills on Windows NT/Win 2000/Win 2003 servers, knowledge of Active Directory and Group policy management.
2. Good understanding of IIS servers and Antivirus Servers ( WSUS).
3. Knowledge of ISA Server, Share Point and other Windows Server Product.
4. Understanding of Backup / Restore processes.
5. Understanding of the Networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.
6. Automation and management for Antivirus and Patch Management.
7. Design of Network Architecture at local area and Network monitoring.
8. Knowledge of MSSQL.
9. MS Visual Source Safe 2005, Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2008 management and administration.
10. Knowledge of Linux OS.
11. Knowledge of Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2,Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.
12. Knowledge of MS Exchange 2003/2007 server.
13. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic CRM 4.0
