SQL DBA JobsCafe.com Job Description 1. Administer and manage user, role, permission, backend security & audit for all development and staging environment.
2. Monitoring & Analysis of SQL Log, DTS, Jobs, Performance Tuning for all development and staging environment, usage of monitoring tools.
3. Review & apply backend changes (Create, update & delete objects / data)
4. Backend application script optimization for better performance.
5. Taking part in the application design / development / maintenance to take care of the backend aspect.
6. Create, Administer and manage the BCP / DRP sites from functional perspective.
7. Support Application Helpdesk when needed.
Additive Advantage for candidates with below:
8. SQL Replication, Cluster, Log-shipping
9. Awareness / experience on PeopleSoft DBA activities (PeopleSoft 8.x / 9.x), Migration, Upgrade and troubleshoot
10. Create, move, Migration & Patch mgmt. for development and staging databases
Desired Profile SQL Server 2000 / 2005 DBA, SQL Server monitoring, DB Tuning, Backup, Restore, Data Porting, Knowledge on Replication, Logshipping, Clustering, BCP / DRP, Knowledge on Replication, Logshipping, Clustering, BCP / DRP
Backend Knowledge, Aware of Processes, QMS, BS7799, SOX, etc
Provide 24 x 7 support through shift working. Candidate should be willing to work in shifts to provide 24 X 7 application support
