ETL - Datastage Professionals JobsCafe.comJob Description •Responsible for leading or participating in the source data analysis, physical database implementation, and ETL development efforts within the Data Warehouse.
•Participation at a Senior level on project teams to determine requirements and possible solutions.
•Responsible for ETL Development of Data Warehouse load processes using IBM Datastage.
•Responsible for Oracle PL/SQL Development of Data Warehouse load processes, data extraction, reporting and quality control.
•Participation in establishing standards and methods for all Datawarehouse coding efforts.
•Logical and physical data modeling to support internal processes.
•Physical database design including indexing, partitioning, and data aggregation strategies.
•Analysis and tuning of IBM Datastage, Oracle, and Teradata processes.
•Data analysis, including data profiling and quality assessment, of potential information sources.
•Working on projects and enhancements.
•Self starter, Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Experience in Offshore projects a plus.
Desired Profile •ETL (Datastage) related work with several databases and applications. Database
design. Performance tuning.
•Also working on some custom applications developed using oracle and PL/SQL.
•Ability to work with distributed teams and handle ‘production environment application maintenance’ pressure and demands.
•Good knowledge of ‘practical’ software development lifecycle with exposure to agile and iterative development methodologies.
•Good communication skills and ability to interact with and understand clients.
•To conduct requirements study, interact with source system contacts
•Analyze various data sources from the requirement perspective Onsite offshore
coordination Designing Data Warehouse Participate in code reviews for PL/SQL
programs.
