Description:

The main responsibilities for this position are to work independently on the planning and execution of performance testing effort, give oversight to a medium sized project by leveraging the testing experience across all the phases of STLC and mentor people on the team.

Key Responsibility Areas Major Activities -

Testing Strategy & Management

Test Strategy

a. Define and implement test processes, strategies and approaches based on development methodology for medium complexity test requirements with support from the Technical Architect and get buy in from different stakeholders

b. Define test assessment strategies for client project requirements

c. Create test assessment requirement questions and other test assessment artifacts

Test Management

a. Manage different testing tracks for the integrated solution helping team members / track leads estimate and plan their tracks efficiently

b. Share best practices on the team and encourages incorporation for delivery excellence

c. Facilitate test assessment workshops and analyze workshop inputs independently to come up with test solutions based on client landscape

Automation

a. Write code using the automation tool scripting language and take into consideration design patterns, modularization, and user libraries for code reuse

b. Explain topics and approaches to peers and/or clients and works independently

c. Use various compiler and deployment options and handles simple to medium level debugging and performance optimization tasks

Test Estimation

a. Will be involved in estimation of testing tasks for small to medium complexity projects with minimal guidance from the project lead

b. Review and give inputs to test estimation

Test Planning and Execution

Test Planning

a. Strategize conversion of high complexity business requirements from TRM / Telco / Energy services to high level requirements

b. Ensure client buy-in for the test script strategy

c. Guide teams to create complex integration and end to end scenarios with test data variations

d. Analyze the requirements and be create the plan for test script creation

e. Give oversight to a small team during test case creation and execution

f. Analyze the requirements and create the test execution plan for medium to high technical complex application

Test Execution

a. Ensure delivery of test execution results as per test cycle defined timelines

b. Collect relevant metrics and do proper reporting for test execution

c. Create and ensure the adherence of defect SLAs and follows up for closure

d. Actively participate in defect triage meetings and updates defect details as per meeting outcomes

e. Create more complex testing reports such as defect analysis reports identifying the area that has most number of defects, and reports showing defect closure rates

Defect Management

a. Create and articulate the defect lifecycle process for different types of projects

b. Fetch reports from the defect logging and tracking tools

c. Analyze the defect report and give suggestions about decreasing the defects counts

Client Management

a. Manage operational level clients independently

b. Develop strong relationships with operational level client stakeholders

c. Act as the primary POC for planned operational level meetings

d. Participate in client workshops as co-facilitator

Commercials Management

a. Handle key account processes like managing invoicing, tracking collections, SOW/CR signatures independently

b . Analyze company financial/operational reports like the PM dashboard and P&L report and can independently identify actions to improve account operational performance and can drive them to closure

Team Management

a. Manage a small team

b. Resolve issues and dependencies in the team

c. Create seamless processes for the team

d. Groom and mentor people

Testing Tools

a. Work on at least one of the automation tool ( QTP, Selenium , Rational, Watir), performance tools (load runner, Web load etc) and defect management tools (Test Director, Quality centre) using their basic and advance features

b. Appear and get certified in at least one of the industry standard defect management, test management and automation tool

Skillsets:   Selenium RC with QTP Testing, Open Source Testing Tool Experience
