IT Experience : 4 - 8yrs
SCM Experience : 3yrs +
*Not looking for pure SCM tool administrators
Mandatory Skills :
• Expert in Software Configuration Management concepts covering Version Control
• Should have expertise in using one of the industry leading SCM tools (ClearCase, Serena Dimensions, Telelogic Synergy, SubVersion, CVS, CA-Endevor etc.,) - Tool administration experience is nice to have but power user expertise is a must.
Build and Deployment Management :
• Should have performed builds in a complex environment covering
• Multiple platforms (Unix, Windows, Linux etc.,),
• Multiple programming language builds (Java, C/C++, .NET etc.,)
• Should have experience deploying applications to various web services (Weblogic, Websphere etc.,)
• Should have experience in scripting in the area of automating various activities of SCM
Release Management:
• Should have experience in managing parallel releases, release scoping, release coordination.
• Should have experience in defining SCM tool process for handling parallel release and merges
• Should have experience promoting the release across various test environments covering Integration, QA, User Acceptation, Pre- Production and Production
Excellent Soft skills :
• Good understanding of complete SDLC
• Communications Skills both verbal and written and Presentation skills
• Probing skills (Should be able to pose and probe with right questions to understand the issues)
• Should be highly process oriented
