Senior Associate - Fund Accountant JobsCafe.com Job Description Summary: The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter who has
demonstrated the ability to function as an effective and strategic leader/manager in
a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding environment. This individual will have a strong
technical Accounting background, experience working within the Financial Services
industry and a proven track record of building and managing effective teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review of monthly fund and business entity closing summaries
• Report and analyze financial data to be disseminated to our clients and their
investors
• Generate estimated performance returns
• Close monthly books and records of the funds to general final performance figures,
• Prepare financial statements for funds
• Work directly with external auditors to ensure accuracy of each fund’s annual
financial statements
• Collaborate with other team members to build scalable operations to meet the
service needs of a large portfolio of clients
• Consistently look to streamline and automate the reporting/analytical process with
the use of technology
• Assist in building a high-performance team through learning, development, mentoring
and recruiting
Desired Profile Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2-4 years of Accounting experience (Associate) and 4-6 years of
Accounting experience (Sr. Associate)
• Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services
strongly preferred
• CA required
• Bachelors degree with emphasis in Accounting, Master degree a plus
• Big 4 public accounting experience a plus
Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
• Excellent English, grammar, written and oral communication skills
• Adaptive, flexible style with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced
environment
