Global Reporting Services vision is to provide High Quality Planning Analysis and
Reporting services at optimal cost through standardization, centralization and
continual process improvement
Global Reporting Services, as part of Global Business Services for HP is the shared
services organization chartered to deliver the following services :
� Reporting Solution & Transformation (Includes design, process engineering,
portfolio rationalization, etc)
� Reporting Migration Services (System to system reconciliation, Testing, Training
users, etc)
� Reporting Deep Support (Helpdesk services providing incident management & problem
resolution)
� Reporting Delivery (Financial Reporting, Business Reporting, Pricing & Costing)
Our internal customers are the Business segments (Enterprise Business, Personal
Solutions Group, Imaging & Printing Group), Global Functions (Corporate
Administrative & Shared Services, Global Supply Chain Services, Sales Operations,
etc) & Finance Function (Business Unit Finance function, Corporate Finance
(Controllership, Tax, Treasury & Internal Audit) and the Regions).
The team has an excellent mix of experienced professionals with strong financial
planning analysis, pricing & reporting solution (Business Intelligence & data
warehousing) background with significant experience in this area, who are driven by
a passion to draw business inference from external and internal data while
delivering on global client requests thereby generating significant business impact
and value.
The role is primarily responsible for monitoring and controlling the functioning of
multiple teams and processes in compliance with SLAs. The role is also responsible
for ensuring high employee morale and driving HP values, for implementing policies,
procedures and controls and for handling customer relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities :
This position requires extensive management experience in a complex multi-tower
environment servicing multiple clients.
The GRS Reporting Solution & Transformation (RST) Leader serves as the central point
of accountability between the internal HP Account customer and multiple Business
Segments, Units and functions. The RST GRS Manager is responsible for service
excellence in service areas relating to datawarehousing, data migration, business
intelligence & solutioning. The RST Leader brings together the portfolio of GRS
services in customer value-add solution form to address customer critical business/
sales imperatives that result i value for HP.
* Serves as a global single point of accountability to GRS customers for all the
Business Segments, Units and functions in HP for datawarehousing, solutioning domain.
* Provides thought leadership by constantly researching & providing recommendations
on selection of technology (as relates to datawarehousing, tools, applications etc)
* Actively manage all relationships with the customer's senior executives, directly
or through supporting Managers and Client Account Management Executives across
multiple Business Units and geographies.
* Ensures account satisfaction and all facets of service, across all Business Units
and geographies.
* Works with the internal HP account customers to identify and resolve issues in a
timely manner where service delivery has fallen below acceptable levels.
Performs one or more of the following:
* Lead transformation solution projects for Global Reporting Services; Project
manages and implements the whole project life cycle from scope definition to roll
out and conclusion.
* Develops budget estimates and manages project to meet cost projections.
* Determines resource allocation levels to meet project commitments.
* Analyzes workflow and assignments to ensure efficient and cost effective
operations. Perform ad-hoc analysis and recommendation on tools, processes and
strategies with regard to GRS missions and reporting requirements for Global
Business Services as a whole.
* Attract key talents, provide technical leadership and develop competency
* Develop Critical understanding of HP approved solutions and help in identifying
the right technology platform for customers - internal or external.
* Develops/implements process and service improvements as needed.
* Reviews and resolves issues affecting Company compliance, legal requirements and
customer objectives
* Partners with senior staff in developing and marketing new client programs/
services as required
* All other duties as assigned
Desired Profile Your Profile:
Educational Requirements:
Master's degree or equivalent technical experience and a minimum of 10 plus years
related experience or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years experience.
Experience Requirements:
� 12-16 years of post qualification experience in the Industry with exposure to
project and program management and implementation;
� People management experience;
� Experience of working in MNC environment and collaborating in a virtual
environment will be an added advantage;
� Experience of directing and controlling the activities of reporting systems and
solution design/reengineering implementation;

� Proven project and program management and implementation skills;
� Broad-based knowledge of Reporting solutions, Business Intelligence,
datawarehousing, tools, applications and data marts;
� Preferred : Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies like .NET, VB & databases like
Oracle, SQL server, Neoview (EDW), Hyperion/Essbase, Informatica
� Ability to successfully work multiple activities/projects simultaneously;
Leads change, understand the effects of organizational and process changes and the
effort � needed to implement an innovative solution and how this impacts the
operation in terms of workload/cost;
� Demonstrate understanding of reporting, business intelligence, analytics,
reporting solutions, market players and practices;
� Good people handling skills - hiring, coaching, objective setting, performance
appraisal, and most importantly proven ability to inspire and motivate the team to
perform;
� Exposure to handling RFP response and participating in road shows (messaging)
� Exposure to solution design.
� Ability to lead change by effectively building commitment and winning support for
initiatives.
