infrastructure for AIX and Linux workstations and servers in STG/ISC. CMC aims to
provide a common and centralized method of administering machines via policy-based
implementation rooted in a machines function (fileserver, workstation, application
server, etc). cfengine is a key component of the CMC solution - providing a common,
opensource, extensible and maintainable way to develop policies. The position open
in the team involves two different roles - infrastructure tool development and
cfengine policy development. The ideal candidate would possess the skills below in
order to be in a position to perform web-based front end (UI) development as well as
backend policy code written in cfengine. This is a long term development project
that is in it's infancy - slated to take a full year with an expectation of ongoing
development and maintenance in the out years.
