•Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work in a team environment, interacting with multiple groups on a daily basis
•Possess hands on Experience :
oETL/ELT - design and implementation experience loading to Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas and 1-3NF data models including error/suspension handling, control processing, data cleansing, and performance design.
oAbility to write and understand scripting languages (UNIX Shell Scripts, Perl, Python)
oStrong SQL programming skills and strong relational database knowledge including the ability to write, analyze, and debug queries.
•Extensive experience with IBM - Infosphere – Data Stage 7.5x and Data Stage 8.0, Information Analyzer, Data Stage, Profile Stage, Meta data workbench.
•Experience/Knowledge with at least one of the following:
o Microsoft - SQL Server SSIS
o Oracle – OWB
o Informatica
o Business Objects
o AbInitio
Other Skill [Desired]:
•ETL/BI-Tools Consolidation/Migration expériences a plus
•Production system/ DW warehouse maintenance experience is a plus.
•Consulting experience with a large multi-national is a plus
•Technical Documentation skills a plus
•Business Analysis skills a plus
Delegation and time-management skills a plus.
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
•Translates business requirements into technical details. Resolve user-identified functional and technical issues relating to Data Mart and reporting services.
•Provides onsite/offshore technical leadership on large, complex DW projects. Leads a team of offshore engineers and responsible for on-time delivery of allocated DW project/project modules. Verify/Validate/QA the teams work to ensure that the team generates high quality output.
•Collaborate with Architect/Center of Excellence teams to develop IP based solution frameworks and productivity accelerators.
•Possesses a broad understanding of the DW architecture (Data model, ETL and BI/OLAP reporting)
•Possess technical problem solving skills in database/ETL performance tuning including meta-data skills, analyze query plans, indexes, and locking behavior.
•Defines documents and communicates the project progress to Project Manager/ Architect/Delivery Manager
Participates in BI/DW practice development including sales proposals.
