Role:
The EPS Amazon Payments - Iris team seeks an exceptionally motivated, capable, and driven Software Development Engineer to work on one of Amazon's start-up businesses. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and design features for our new payments website. You will be expected to design, develop, test, document and deliver scalable, reliable, web applications, tools, systems and services using Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc. You'd be expected to work with the senior technical members of the team and the Product Management team to analyze business and functional requirements, and translate those requirements into technical specifications for building robust, scalable, web applications. You will own the delivery of entire pieces of the system or application, and serve as a technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards.
Key Skills:
• Outstanding expertise in Java, JSP and JavaScript
• Strong background in computer science and at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Focus on clean high-quality code and solid designs.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• 1 + years experience of successful production software deployments plus familiarity with standard software development concepts/practices like Source Control systems, Unit testing, code-coverage etc.
• Strong Linux (or UNIX) background.
• Experience in developing large-scale multi-tiered web applications is highly desirable.
