Able to understand the high-level design and contribute to the low-level design
Able to translate the low-level design into clean, maintainable, optimized and bug-free code and to perform thorough self-review of the same
Able to understand the test procedures and test strategy and perform unit testing, integration testing and system testing.
Able to do quick and efficient problem-debugging of bugs found in one’s code with less guidance.
Able to generate clear, concise and well-organized technical documentation such as unit test plan, configuration manuals, test reports etc.
Able to plan/estimate own work to meet the required and committed timelines
Accountable for the quality of own work
Able to understand the SDLC and work in adherence to the required quality processes (Aricent QMS).
Able to do proper and timely status reporting about the progress of own work/assignments
Able to work well in a team, be a team player and mix well with peers/SSEs/TLs etc.
Be energized and enthusiastic about the assigned activities as well as spread positive energy in the team
Committed, hardworking with attitude to do the best
Able to communicate well within the team
Good command of verbal and written English

Static MPLS (LSPs, Tunnels, Pseudowires), MPLS-TP/ T-MPLS
MPLS signaling-based protocols such as LDP, RSVP-TE, L2-VPN, GMPLS
OAM tools such as LSP Ping, BFD, VCCV
Protection Switching such as FRR, APS, PW Redundancy
Essential:
Strong knowledge/grasp of C programming language
Strong OS fundamentals
Strong knowledge of Complex Data structures such as Linked Lists, Trees etc
Open, positive attitude
Preferred Skills:
Broadcom, Marvel, Xelerated, Fulcrum switching chipset or NP programming, Linux kernel work experience
Layer 2 switching / Layer 3 routing / VLAN / CFM / Redundancy / Chassis / Stacking
