This position will report to a Manager of Network Engineering. You will be required to provide technical evaluation, installation, implementation and user support of all Network related equipment for contractual network commitments for a diversified customer base. You will work with all levels of management, employees, and customers developing and coordinating strategic projects geared towards improving the Company’s network products and services. You may be required to work under demanding deadlines to maintain customer satisfaction.

• Submit network connectivity specifications and offer recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership for customer’s projects, which may include equipment ordering, testing, troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of upgrades or configurations.
• Communicate network status and provide quality documentation.
• Establish/maintain a project schedule in coordination with the client and management.
• Attend daily/weekly meetings and interact regularly with management, customers and incumbents to constantly improve Network Engineering services.
• Support Disaster Recovery testing and enforce required standards and procedures.
Education and Typical Years of Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of related technical support experience requires advanced knowledge and experience in a full range of technology platforms and systems.
Specific Requirements:
• Microsoft Office and Visio skills are essential.
• 4 yr degree in electrical engineering/computer science/network engineering or 5 to 7 years hands-on experience in large enterprise or carrier networks with router’s, switches and firewalls.
• Routing experience with a least 2 of the following protocols: OSPF/EIGRP/BGP
• WAN experience with at least 2 of the following: frame relay, leased lines, MPLS, and ATM.
• LAN switching experience with Cisco products VLANs, VTP, Trunking, etc….
• VPN experience preferably with Cisco products.
• WLAN experience including Cisco AP’s, controllers and WCS application
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN VoIP configurations including QOS configurations
•Advanced level networking certifications such as CCNP/CCDP (Cisco Certifications) are desirable.
• Firewall experience with the PIX, AVS and checkpoints are desirable.
• Project management experience (MS project usage would be desirable but not required)
