Senior Engineer - Network ManagementJobsCafe.com Job Description1. Diagnose faults accurately through dialogue with the customer and remote access when available; where possible clear the problem, find a solution, avoiding a field engineering visit within agreed SLA times.
2. Update the customer on progress regularly whilst resolving the fault.
3. Update incident management systems and other fault related databases to ensure an accurate record of activities undertaken is maintained; ensure faults are navigated through the correct queues.
4. Provide telephone assistance to field engineers on standard issues and answer all telephone enquiries? in a professi
onal manner.
5. Interface with 3rd line support agencies as required in order to resolve customer problems.
6. Perform Proactive Fault Management duties when allocated ensuring events are handled within SLA.
7. Observe client quality policies to achieve continuous improvement. Ensure that you follow QMS practices to meet customer requirements and maintain the registration to ISO 9000.
Essential:
1. Degree/Diploma in Computers/Electronics and Communication/IT engineering
2. Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Routing and Switching domain of Enterprise / Service provider en
vironment on Cisco platforms.
3. Good hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and HSRP.

knowledge of services delivered on IP MPLS environment using a combination of transport media, routing protocols and other relevant IOS features - Knowledge of LAN and WAN transport media (Ethernet, FR, ATM,DSL,ISDN, TDM - E1/ T1 etc).
5. Ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco IOS features.
6. Ability to configure and troubleshoot QoS/CoS related issues.
7. Good knowledge of Cisco hardware architecture.
8. CCNA certification is mandatory.
9. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Desirable
CCNP/CCIP certification
