¡ Design and develop ETL applications to populate the data warehouse and dependent data marts.
¡ Review and participate in design, development, testing and implementation of the data warehouse applications.
¡ Produce detail technical documentation for all phases of the data warehouse.

¡ Provide on-going support of existing warehouse as well as continually re-evaluate current processes and techniques for increased efficiency and Maintainability.
¡ Ensure completeness and compatibility of the technical infrastructure to support system performance, availability and architecture requirements.
¡ Maintain an awareness of existing, new and emerging data warehouse technologies.
¡ Provide detailed estimates of time for each phase of the software development efforts.
¡ Develop test plans and test applications at the unit level.
¡ Proficiently apply appropriate methodologies to support the creation and maintenance of business objects universe and reports to support customer Requirements, ensuring the integrity of data and data feed, identifying relationships between data.
¡ Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
Minimum Job Qualifications
¡ Experience in design, development, testing and implementation of data warehouse projects using Dimensional Modeling techniques.
¡ Expert in all aspects of managing data warehouse applications: requirement analysis, formulating/evaluating alternatives for data acquisition and access, data quality analysis, operations and training.
¡ Expert in ETL Ascential DataStage, 7.* or 8.* versions.
¡ Skilled with defining and formulating durable and reusable dimensional data models and Star schema data structure designs using ERwin for analysis and reporting.
¡ Strong understanding of data warehouse technologies/best practices: data acquisition (ETL), data quality, managed query/reporting.
¡ Extensive experience in using Relational databases i.e. Oracle 10g/9i, and its utilities (SQL, PL/SQL, SQL* Loader etc). Hands on experience in Writing, testing and implementation of Oracle database triggers, PL/SQL Packages, Procedures and functions. Experience in indexing, SQL performance tuning and optimization techniques.
¡ Experience in writing UNIX Shell scripts.
¡ Knowledge of production support activities.
¡ Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle Application and Siebel Application is a plus.
¡ Experience in using one of the Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects experience is a plus).
Preferable Job Qualifications
¡ BS Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
¡ Minimum 4-8 yrs of experience in developing data warehouse applications.
Note:
The relevant experience in ETL tool utilization should be atleast 3-4 yrs
Currently the existing data warehousing technology in Y! is Data Stage. [so the candidate should be excellent in Data Stage]
The candidate should know unit testing [basic level]
The candidate’s preparation should be in
Ascential DataStage, Business Objects is a plus.
Preferably Oracle 10g. Even 9i is okay.
Should be very good in SQL technologies.
Years of experience can be relaxed for an "outstanding candidate".
