The person will be responsible for abstract and summarize pertinent patient information from medical records to create physicians discharge summaries. Review summaries proceeding for accuracy and completion. Prepare dictates report for physician review and authentication.

Desired Profile    

Knowledge/Qualifications/ Competency:

US Healthcare experience / knowledge.Nurses / Coders with previous discharge summary preparation preferred familiarity with medical record content and thorough Health Science and medical knowledge, State and federal regulations and documentation guidelines.

Capabilities:

Proficiency in functional use of computers (medical records system and word processing applications) is required.

Detail-oriented

Field of expertise- health information management

Strong competence in understanding of medical terminology and excellent written communication skills are required

DIPLOMA OR HIGHER IN HEALTH SCIENCES /IN PATIENT CODERS
